The Wordless Condition Prior to "I"

On this evening in October 2004, Avatar Adi Da not only answers His devotees’ questions (ranging from the capacity of discrimination to living a Divinely Purposed life), He also Addresses the chronic self-reference “I” in the patterns of speech. He points out that there is no actual experience of this separate one—though language and thought are built upon the illusion of a separate “self”. Avatar Adi Da contrasts this ego-based condition to the Wordless and Thoughtless State of the Divine.

This Discourse occurred Avatar Adi Da’s final “Avataric Revelation” Discourse period. From mid-2004 to early 2006, Avatar Adi Da offered a unique series of Discourses which were broadcast live over the Internet to His devotees worldwide. During these occasions, Avatar Adi Da answered questions from those present in the room with Him, and also from devotees all over the world via speakerphone.

As He had always done, even from the beginning of His Teaching-Work, Avatar Adi Da addressed each devotee personally, but was also Instructing all beings, in all times and places.
