This remarkable recording presents Avatar Adi Da’s exquisite recitations of His renderings of key statements from the Buddhist Sages Gotama Sakyamuni (known as “the Buddha”) and Nagarjuna. He clarifies the inherently single Truth communicated through the traditions of Advaitsm and Buddhism, and points to specific details of the Reality-Way of Adidam that makes it distinct from these traditions, and unique among all traditions.
On that rainy afternoon at the Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary in 2006, Avatar Adi Da brings these traditional Buddhist texts to life in a unique manner. As He speaks these ancient gems of instruction, the truth of each text comes through and penetrates the heart.
Avatar Adi Da speaks at length about the history of Advaitism and Buddhism, clarifying that the Truth each of these traditions proclaim is the same Truth—the Truth of Reality Itself. He says, “As I have presented these texts to you, they speak in a manner that shows the utter compatibility of the two traditions, of Buddhism and Advaitism. And there is not the slightest ‘difference’ between the Truth one is proclaiming and the Truth the other is proclaiming. Not the slightest. Nonetheless, these traditions speak within the mode of the developmental stages of life…. There is a Completing Utterance to be made and that is the Nature of My Teaching.”
Adi Da Samraj also makes clear that the true meaning of these texts is diminished when translated by someone who has not Realized the Truth of the text. In making these renderings He has worked to speak these traditional texts plainly, as One who has Realized the Truth of the text, such that their unique power of Illumination can be received.
Avatar Adi Da emphasizes that His Teaching about egoity is a unique Teaching, based on most fundamental understanding of egoity. His is a “radical” Teaching, “at the root” of what egoity really is. This preciseness cannot be found in Buddhism or any other tradition.
At the end of the Discourse, Avatar Adi Da calls all to become sensitized to the terrible effects of egoity—on the individual and the global scale. Many of those who were with Him on that rainy day left feeling their absolute need for Realization—for which Avatar Adi Da offers Means, Blessing, and compassionate Help. Avatar Adi Da said, “Your whatever-degree of seriousness is what is bringing you to Me now and that is the basis for the ‘Bond’ you make with Me, wherein the relationship to Me can work for the sake of your Awakening. And I am here always to increase that seriousness in you, that urgency in you.”

About The Gnosticon Discourses Series
In the fall of 2005, Avatar Adi Da Samraj began to create His own renderings of numerous principal texts from the traditions of the great Non-dualist Sages. By virtue of His own intrinsically egoless State, Avatar Adi Da identifies the essential Revelation of each text, then speaks it plainly. His renderings, therefore, are not mere translations, but Transmitted Revelations of the true and intended meaning of these great texts.
As Avatar Adi Da completed each new rendering, He would gather with His devotees (in person and via the internet) to first read His new work and then to discourse on the distinctions between the Realization (and methods) described in the Non-dualist text and His own Reality-Revelation and Way. He thus clarified, with exacting detail, the specific qualities that make His Revelation and Way utterly unique in the Great Tradition of religious, Spiritual, and Transcendental Instruction.
The collection of Avatar Adi Da’s renderings and related discourses became the seed of a book—The Gnosticon—in which He thoroughly examines the Transcendental Teachings of the ancient Sages in relation to His Transcendental Spiritual Way of Adidam.
